For over a decade, Sonoma County 4-H’s Heritage Turkey Project has been teaching local kids how to raise, butcher and sell Heritage Turkeys – That’s the colorful and longer-living turkeys that were nearly wiped out due to the commercial popularity of the traditional broad-breasted white turkey.
