Jay Asher’s young adult bestseller “Thirteen Reasons Why” is a hit on Netflix, despite some concerns about its subject matter.

This summer, actors and crew members returned to Sebastopol’s Analy High School to film scenes for Season Two of “13 Reasons Why.” – It’s a Netflix drama about high schoolers based on the popular young adult novel by Jay Asher. In advance of a local appearance this weekend, news director Steve Mencher spoke with Asher about his 2007 novel – and the controversy it’s attracted.
