Sheriff Rob Giordano Addresses ‘Day of Remembrance’ – Nov 1, 2017

On Saturday, city, county and state officials gathered at Santa Rosa Junior College to remember – with bagpipes and song – those lost in the North Bay fires.

There were a few voices that calmed and informed us during the recent fires, among them, Pat Kerrigan of KSRO. She held the microphone for hour after hour, providing critical updates to a growing audience during the crisis. Another calming presence was Sheriff/Coroner Rob Giordano. Appointed as a short-term caretaker sheriff, he had pledged that he wouldn’t run for the office next year. Now, after watching him in action every day, some in the community are urging him to become a candidate for Sheriff in 2018.
