HOPE Program Provides Free Counseling to Fire Survivors and Other Affected Individuals; Kaiser Helps with $1 Million Gift to Program – July 27, 2018

If you’re still feeling the emotional effects of the October wildfires, or find yourself scared or anxious as new fires break out around us… there’s free counseling available. Find out where, on the next North Bay report at 6:18 and 8:18 am and 5:30pm.

This week, Kaiser Permanente announced a million dollar grant to help fund free counseling for survivors of October’s fires. The money is earmarked for project HOPE – which stands for Helping, Outreach, Possibilities, and Empowerment. Project Manager Wendy Wheelwright told KRCB news director Steve Mencher that many folks dealt confidently with the crisis during and right after the fires. But they may just now be feeling the pain of loss.
