When you think of a Grand Jury, you probably don’t imagine advice about better emergency preparedness. But the Sonoma County Civil Grand Jury has delivered some ideas to improve disaster response.

The anniversary of the October wildfires is coming next month. Even now, some aspect of the crisis is in the headlines nearly every day. After investigating the county’s response to the disaster, the Sonoma County Civil Grand Jury issued its findings recently in a 55-page report. Gina Nellor, Foreperson of the Grand Jury, visited KRCB to offer some insight into the jury’s recommendations
