Sonoma County Civil Grand Jury Recommends Changes in Operations During Emergencies – Part Two – September 5, 2018

Coming up on the North Bay Report… in a fire emergency, owners who sneak into evacuation zones to look for their farm animals or pets may endanger themselves and firefighters.

Yesterday we heard about the report of the Sonoma County Civil Grand Jury – a report that found serious shortcomings in the county’s emergency preparedness. One part of the jury’s report concerns the evacuation and sheltering of animals displaced in the wildfires. The report makes several strong recommendations regarding this issue and foreperson Gina Nellor explains why this is so important.
