A Landslide Threatens Several Homes in Forestville’s Hacienda Neighborhood – March 12, 2019

Not all of the damages from the rainstorm two weeks ago were due to flooding. This makes the recovery effort even more complicated.

The sun came out yesterday and local residents enjoyed one of the most beautiful days of winter this year. It’s an important time to remember that many are still struggling to recover from the heavy rainfall and flooding two weeks ago. KRCB’s Adia White visited a small community in Forestville last week, where residents are living with uncertainty after the saturated ground beneath their homes began to slip.

Sonoma County is sending geologists to measure the movement of the slide in the Hacienda neighborhood. We have several more stories about the flooding and a list of resources for those still grappling with recovery. You’ll find it all at norcalpublicmedia.org.
