Stacey Abrams to Visit Santa Rosa – May 14, 2019 (AM)

Stacey Abrams has been called “the first” many times in her life. Most recently, she was the first black woman to give the formal response to the President’s State of the Union Address. Stacey Abrams was the first Black woman to be nominated by a major party to run for governor. Abrams narrowly lost that race in Georgia last year and is now entertaining the idea of running for president.  Abrams writes about daring to dream big and following those ambitions to fruition in her book, Lead from the Outside. She will be speaking in Santa Rosa next week about the book and talked with KRCB’s Adia White about the lessons she hopes to pass on to America’s next generation of leaders.

Abrams will speak at the Luther Burbank Center on Monday at 7 pm. For more information visit norcalpublicmedia.org.
