What’s stopping you from preparing for fire season?
It’s nearly summer and with the change in seasons comes the need to prepare for wildfires. If you’re finding it hard to go through your disaster checklist, KPCC’s Arwen Nicks has some advice for you. Nicks is part of a team of producers on a podcast called “The Big One,” which talks about what will happen with a major earthquake hits. She and her team visited Santa Rosa in April to give advice to a group of emergency management officials on how to effectively share information. KRCB’s Adia White talked with Nicks about how storytelling can encourage people to prepare.
