There is no national religion. But an Episcopal Church in the Nation’s capital is called the Washington National Cathedral.
Two weeks ago, the Washington National Cathedral released a statement titled “Have We No Decency: A Response to President Trump.” The statement was a direct challenge to the President’s racist rhetoric. Last week, News Director Steve Mencher talked with the rector of St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Sebastopol, Christy Laborda Harris. She began by reading from the National Cathedral statement.
