Kids are back in school now. But in at least one district, the teachers’ union is still battling over salaries and benefits, as administrators offer what amounts to a pay cut.
The school year is fully underway, but the West Sonoma County Teachers Association is still in negotiations with the West County Union High School District over salaries and benefits. KRCB’s Isabella Bloom talked with Brian Miller, a math teacher at Analy High School and the chair of the union bargaining team.
Fact-finding documents will be released October 7th and in the coming days, we’ll hear the district’s point of view.
