Sonoma County Releases Summary Measures of Health Report, Part Two – December 19, 2019

Deaths related to opioid use in Sonoma County have doubled over the last ten years.

The Department of Health Services released a report this November that measures health disparities, leading causes of death and premature mortality rates. In part two of this story, KRCB’s Adia White talks with Melissa Struzzo from the Sonoma County Department of Health Services Behavioral Health Division. Struzzo heads the driving under the influence program and talks about what the County is doing in response to the rise in deaths related to opioid use.
