North Bay Community Engagement Fair – January 26, 2017

North Bay Community Engagement Fair
Sonoma County Fairgrounds
Sunday, January 29th, 2017

A healthy democracy is determined not simply by what happens on voting day, but by what takes place between elections—the ongoing actions of citizens, neighborhoods and organizations working to build a better world.

Ready to engage? Turn complaints into actions? Want to help secure civil liberties, protect the disenfranchised and empower a more equitable economy and resilient ecology, but not sure how or where to plug in?

Join us on January 29th in Santa Rosa for a FREE Community Engagement Fair, a daylong exhibition of organizations and community groups from across the North Bay looking for volunteers and activists just like you. Whether you have just a few hours a month or all the time in the world, whether you’ve got specific skills or just a can-do attitude, whether your passion is the environment, immigrant rights, the LGBTQ community or sustainable agriculture, you’ll find something to spark your passions as you to roll up those sleeves.

This event is a grassroots, non-partisan, collective effort aimed at civic engagement. We welcome groups and individuals of ALL political, economic and spiritual beliefs that promote love and equality and that condemn hate and oppression.

Co-hosted by:
– North Bay Organizing Project
