2017 marks the 50th anniversary of You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown, which is recognized as one of the most performed musicals in the history of American theatre. The musical theatre production first debuted at Theatre 80 St. Marks in New York City on March 7, 1967. Celebrate the long-running success of this acclaimed stage production with original letters, sheet music, and playbills from the Museum archives.

Saturday, March 4th, 2017 is You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown Cast Day!
Beginning at 10:00am, celebrate the 50th anniversary of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown with live selections of songs from the musical and appearances by Snoopy and Charlie Brown throughout the day!
At 11:00 am join the cast from the Pacifica Spindrift Players for songs from the musical.
At 1:30 and 2:30 pm, performers from the Roustabout Theater will sing “My New Philosophy” and “The Kite.”
Also, meet Snoopy and Charlie Brown for photos from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. At 3:30 pm, watch the animated 1985 version of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.
And, anyone who has ever voiced or played one of the Peanuts characters gets free admission all day!
