Cloverdale Fiddle Festival – March 28, 2017

41st Cloverdale Fiddle Festival
Cloverdale Citrus Fair
Saturday, April 1, 2017

Greetings Fiddlers!
The Cloverdale Fiddle Festival is back, after a one-year hiatus, on April 1, 2017. The festival is a presentation of California State Old Time Fiddle Association District 10, The Cloverdale Citrus Fair and the Sonoma County Folk Society. We also get a big assist from Lagunitas Brewery.

Please note that due to time constraints and lack of participation the mandolin and guitar divisions have been eliminated. You can still expect some fine performances by old time and bluegrass bands on the California Bluegrass Association sponsored “Jamming” stage. Most of the talented performers who had been scheduled to play last year, have agreed to play in 2017 and we are happy that they did. Check the Entertainment page on the web site for the schedule.

RV and tent camping are available on a first come first serve basis. Electricity and showers are available and campers are encouraged to stay Friday and Saturday night to enjoy the opportunity to jam with friends.

Fiddlers are encouraged to pre-register and avoid the lines that involved in same day registration. Rules are posted under contestant/rules. Remember Cloverdale is an independent fiddle contest not subject to the rules of the California State Old Time Fiddle Association. However it does make a nice warm-up before heading up to Weiser Idaho for the National contest.

We here in Cloverdale hope you will continue to support us and participate in this fine fiddle festival as we continue to carry the spirit of old time fiddling into the future.
