Sonoma County Department of Health Services – Behavioral Health Division provides resources for people and their loved ones that are experiencing depression and/or thoughts of suicide.

The North Bay Suicide Prevention hotline is a toll-free, confidential 24/7 suicide prevention hotline (855) 587-6373 that will connect you a trained crisis counselor.

NBSPP reduces suicide in the four North Bay counties of Marin, Sonoma, Lake and Mendocino. All people living in these North Bay counties now have access to immediate, confidential, high-quality and effective 24/7 suicide prevention hotline services.

The 24-hour toll-free phone number for the North Bay Suicide Prevention Hotline of Sonoma County is (855) 587-6373.

The hotline is operated by Buckelew Programs, in partnership with its primary funders, the Marin, Sonoma, Lake and Mendocino County Mental Health Departments and MHSA.

Know the Warning Signs of Suicide:
Talking about wanting to die or to kill oneself.
Looking for a way to kill oneself, such as searching online or buying a gun.
Talking about feeling hopeless or having no reason to live.
Talking about feeling trapped or in unbearable pain.
Talking about being a burden to others.
Increasing the use of alcohol or drugs.
Acting anxious or agitated; behaving recklessly.
Sleeping too little or too much.
Withdrawing or feeling isolated.
Showing rage or talking about seeking revenge.
Displaying extreme mood swings.
