Welcome to the 3rd JCC Sonoma County Israeli Film Festival!

Maktub (Pronounced macTUBE) means “written” in Arabic, and is used figuratively throughout the Middle East to mean “it is fate”.

Steve and Chuma are a duo of rough and tough thugs who collect protection money for a Jerusalem-based crime organization. Being the only survivors of a terrorist attack at a local restaurant, they decide to change their ways and become flesh and blood angels. They lurk at the Wailing Wall’s square to pick and choose the lucky people whose wishes they will help grant from the notes deposited in the holy stones. While fulfilling other people’s wishes they find themselves discovering their own secret wishes.
