Community Soil Foundation U Pick Harvest and Volunteer Day (Aired: July 19, 2019)

Community Volunteer Day
Maddux Ranch Regional Park
Saturday, July 20, 2019 @ 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Community Soil Foundation has one regular work day at the Larkfield Communtiy Garden & Learning Center. On the 3rd Saturday of each month from 10:00am – 2:00pm, we offer hands-on techniques to grow organic food, improve ecological health, and engage with diverse audiences. Volunteers will receive tutorials and instruction from our expert gardeners, farmers, and guest speakers.

Join us to explore the land, meet new friends, and spend the day outside. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Wear sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Drinks, snacks, and tools will be provided as well as nature-based activities for kids! We work in light showers but heavy rain will postpone.

Community Soil Foundation is a non-profit organization that cultivates the wellness of Sonoma County communities by offering land-based education, creating access to organic produce, and regenerating habitat and natural resources. Our Community Garden & Farm program raises awareness and builds literacy about regenerative farming and gardening including the benefits to individual, cultural, and ecological health. Project sites are strategically chosen to suit our multi-functional goals to get the most out of a single parcel of land while amplifying the benefits to the local community.

This is a free community event.

Registration is NOT necessary – come for part or all of the day.
