Brave New Music will present the world-renowned Indian classical musician Ustad Shafaat Khan at the beautiful Paul Mahder Gallery in Healdsburg.
Maestro Khan and his ensemble East Meets West has enthralled audiences around the world with their unique presentations of Indian music on sitar, tabla, vocals and guitar. They will perform Sufi inspired compositions and multi-cultural fusion music ranging from western classical, jazz, and rock, to flamenco, and African inspired rhythms.
Mr. Khan’s musical heritage goes back to the 16th century.
Some of his many CD recordings have been produced by Dr. Deepak Chopra.
Doors open at 7:00 pm.
