Tapas 13th New Short Play Festival (Aired: September 5, 2019)

Tapas 13th New Short Play Festival
Pegasus Theater Company
September 13 – 28, 2019

Six dynamite plays performed by six terrific actresses. That’s what the 13th annual Tapas New Short Play Festival has in store for you this year at Guerneville’s Masonic Lodge September 13 through 28.

What happens when Lady Macbeth decides to remove her “damned spot” permanently, or a dangerous executive order falls into the hands of a lowly White House Intern? Or two quarreling sisters find themselves out of gas in the middle of the Mojave Desert? Come to Tapas and see.

The plays include:
“Grilled” by H. L. Grant, directed by Darlene Kersnar,
“Solar Flares” by Stanley Rutherford, directed by Ed Brown
“Heroes” by Susan Jackson, directed by Scott Kersnar
“Lady M. Visits the Dermatologist” by Margy Kahn, directed by Lois Pearlman
“Stuff” by Darlene Kersnar, directed by Lauri Lippin
“Executive Order” by H. L. Grant, directed by Darlene Kersnar

From our beginning in 2006 we have featured plays by northern California playwrights exclusively because we want to showcase homegrown talent. And this year we have an all-female cast of wonderful local actresses.
