Native Plant Sale & Laguna Foundation Open House (Aired: October 4, 2019)

Native Plant Sale by CNPS Milo Baker Chapter
Laguna Foundation Open House
Saturday, October 12, 2019

It’s planting season! Enjoy the warm fall colors at the Laguna Environmental Center while learning about California native plants and shopping for new additions to your garden. California natives are optimal for saving water, attracting pollinators, creating habitat for wildlife, and adding a beautiful local touch to your landscape. The plants for sale are tended with love and care all year round by dedicated CNPS Milo Baker volunteers in our shared nursery at the Laguna Environmental Center. Once you’ve shopped at the plant sale, you can explore the picturesque grounds, visit our own native plant garden, and stop by Heron Hall for educational activities and displays.

A free mini speaker series takes place throughout the day in Heron Hall on various topics:
11:00 am – Steve Swain, What’s Wrong with Fire Safe Plant Lists?
12:00 pm – April Owens, Designing the California Garden, Resilient Landscapes for the Future of Sonoma County.
1:00 pm – Kandis Gilmore, Fostering a Network of Interdependence: Native Plants for Native Pollinators.

This event presented in collaboration with the Milo Baker Chapter of the California Native Plant Society, who will have native plants for sale.

Plant sale from 10:00am – 2:00pm.
Open House from 10:00am – 3:00pm.

Admission is free. Donations gratefully accepted.
