The Sonoma County Neighborhood Food Network – March 18, 2019

The Sonoma County Neighborhood Food Network
Redwood Empire Food Bank
Ongoing

The Sonoma County Neighborhood Food Network is an innovative way to collect a year-round supply of food, allowing the Redwood Empire Food Bank (REFB) to feed Sonoma County children, seniors, individuals and families. To help provide this sustainable source of healthy groceries for our neighbors experiencing hunger, community volunteers encourage their friends and neighbors to become long term REFB food donors. Every month, volunteer leads – Neighborhood Coordinators – go door to door in their neighborhoods collecting food to deliver to the REFB.

Share Food.

Help nourish our neighbors in three simple steps!

Step 1: As you grocery shop, buy one extra non-perishable item, something to share with a neighbor, like a box of cereal or a can of soup.

Step 2: Store the food at your home and keep adding to your supply.

Step 3: Every other month, on a prearranged day, a Redwood Empire Food Bank volunteer who lives in our neighborhood will come to your door and pick up your donation. The food will then be delivered directly to the Redwood Empire food Bank and distributed through our 11 hunger relief programs and our 170 partner organizations.

See how your neighborhood is helping to end hunger and sign up to participate.
