Cal Fire Deputy Chief Scott McLean Talks Wildfire Containment – Aug 16, 2018

Firefighters continue to make progress on the three largest wildfires burning in California right now. The Ranch Fire is now just over 321,000 acres and is 72 percent contained. The Carr fire is around 215, 000 acres and is also 72 percent contained. The Ferguson fire is now around 97,000 acres and is 87 percent contained; with the Yosemite Valley back open to residents and tourists.

KRCB Reporter Adia White talked with Cal Fire Deputy Chief Scott McLean and has the latest on what additional challenges firefighters face before these wildfires are no longer a threat.
