Counselors at Paradise Elementary Work to Support Students Through Loss – September 17, 2019

Counselors at Paradise Elementary worked with students with high rates of trauma before the Camp Fire happened. Now, they are trying to find ways to help already struggling students cope with the loss of their town.

Ten months after the Camp Fire, Counselors at Paradise Unified School District are working with kids who are experiencing ongoing trauma. High rates of poverty in the County have made their work harder. KRCB’s Adia White visited Paradise Elementary to find out how school-based counselors are supporting students.
