As the recovery from last October’s wildfires progresses, national experts on resilience are visiting Sonoma County to share best practices.

Yesterday we met Laurie Johnson, a specialist in disaster recovery. KRCB News Director Steve Mencher was among those at her talk in Santa Rosa last month. She says she learned a lot from researching the aftermath of an earthquake that shook New Zealand in 2011, killing 185 people.
