Mouthful welcomes members of 4-H and Slow Food Russian River to talk about the heritage turkey program and its upcoming fete. Joining in are Rachel Hoff and Tom Ferguson of Dog Island Farm in Vallejo. Rachel and Tom are in the midst of a year-long project that involves producing all of their own food. The couple raises bees, chickens, rabbits, turkeys and goats and has sworn to purchase no groceries for the duration of their experiment in farming.
